The using of grafting techniques that NeNGA can teach you will yield higher quality nuts and shorten the time to production. Nebraska Nut Growers Association & Heartland Nuts ‘N More coop are sponsoring a great opportunity to learn how to plan, grow, harvest & market your high quality nuts grown in our area on Thursday, February 22nd, 7-9 p.m. at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. There is no cost at the door and there will be door prizes that include several seedling nut tree varieties and nut seeds. Growing nut trees can be a great family activity now and for the future.
Everyone has different expectations and goals when growing nut trees. This seminar will introduce to most aspects of what it takes for you to accomplish your goals and expectations. You will also have an opportunity to meet with local professional growers of several trees to large orchards.
